QUICK FACTS
  • Your business may be writing less checks today than years past, however mail theft remains on the rise.  Bad actors steal checks directly from mailboxes, and there have been instances of stolen mail trucks.  With a check in hand, criminals simply wash and modify the payee’s name.
  • A third of commercial payments globally are still made by check.  Using Positive Pay, the details on a check are matched to the details on a file to ensure validity.  The same system can be used for an electronic transaction generated by the Automated Clearing House (ACH).
